MapYourContact · iOS App

Privacy Policy

Everything you create stays on your device. No account, no tracking, and nothing collected — because a contact tool should not be watching you.

Effective date: June 6, 2026

Our privacy philosophy

This policy covers the MapYourContact iOS app. It is separate from the privacy policy for the mapyourtech.com website. The app is a free, offline utility: it turns your contact details, a LinkedIn profile, or any web link into a QR code, and it does all of that on your device.

What we believe: the app does not need your data to do its job, so it does not collect any. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. What you type and create never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.

1

Information we collect

None. The MapYourContact app does not collect, transmit, or receive any personal information. Specifically, the app does not gather:

  • Personal details — the name, phone numbers, emails, address, links, or notes you enter for a contact card
  • Usage or analytics data — what you tap, how long you use the app, or which features you open
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, location, or diagnostics
  • Contacts, photos, or any other library on your device

In plain terms

We collect nothing. There is no server to send anything to.

2

Where your data lives

Everything you enter and create is stored only on your device, inside the app's own storage:

  • The fields you fill in, your saved QR codes, any contact photo, and your Colorfy designs stay in local app storage on your phone
  • This data is not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone — it simply remains on your device
  • It is included only in your own device or iCloud backups if you have those turned on in iOS, which are controlled by Apple and you, not by us

In plain terms

Your data is yours, kept on your phone. We never see it.

3

No account, no sign-in

The app has no login, no registration, and no user profile. You can use every feature without giving us any identity or credentials.

In plain terms

Open the app and use it. Nothing to sign up for.

4

Network use

The app does not need an internet connection for any core function. QR codes are generated on your device. The only time the app reaches the network is when you deliberately tap a link such as "Visit MapYourTech," which opens that page in Safari outside the app.

In plain terms

It works fully offline. The internet is used only if you tap a link yourself.

5

Camera and photos

The app does not use your camera. When you add a contact photo or a centre logo for a QR code, you choose the image through the standard iOS photo picker, which runs outside the app and hands back only the one image you select.

  • The app requests no photo-library permission and cannot browse your photos
  • A photo you choose is used only to build your contact card or QR and is stored on your device

In plain terms

We never get access to your photo library — only the single picture you hand over.

6

Sharing and exports

When you share or export — a QR image (PNG), a contact card file (.vcf), or a configuration file (JSON) — the file is created on your device and passed to the standard iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes.

  • Nothing is sent to us as part of sharing or exporting
  • Where a shared file ends up — Files, Messages, Mail, AirDrop, another app — is your choice and is governed by that destination's own terms

In plain terms

Exports go wherever you send them, not to us.

7

Third parties

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting services, and no social or tracking libraries. No third party receives data from the app.

In plain terms

No trackers, no ad networks, no hidden SDKs. None.

8

Your control and deletion

You are always in full control of everything in the app:

  • Delete any saved code from your library at any time
  • Use "Clear all saved codes" in Settings to remove everything at once
  • Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device
  • Because nothing was ever sent to a server, there is nothing for us to delete on our side

In plain terms

Delete a code, clear everything, or remove the app — and it is gone.

9

Children's privacy

The app is intended for general and professional use by people aged 16 and older. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

In plain terms

We do not collect data from anyone, of any age.

10

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated with a new effective date and a short note describing what changed. Because the app is on-device with no data collection, we do not expect material changes.

In plain terms

If anything changes, you will see it here with the date it changed.

What this means for the App Store label

Data not collected

The app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected," and this policy matches that exactly.

On-device only

Generation and storage happen on your phone, with no server in the loop.

No permissions required

No camera, contacts, or photo-library permission is requested to use the app.

No third parties

No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are bundled in the app.

Privacy label summary

For the MapYourContact iOS app: No Data Collected. The app does not collect data linked to your identity, does not collect data used to track you, and does not share data with any third party.

Our commitment

We are engineers who believe in building things correctly. For a small contact utility, the right design is the simplest one: keep everything on the device, ask for nothing, and send nothing. Your privacy here is not a setting you have to find — it is how the app is built.
