Privacy Policy

Effective 12 July 2026

In short: RenewalGuard collects nothing. No account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising SDKs. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What RenewalGuard is

RenewalGuard is an iPhone and iPad app that tracks your recurring payments and reminds you to make a decision — keep, cancel, downgrade, or pause — before each one renews. This policy explains what happens to the information you put into it.

Data we collect

None. RenewalGuard has no account system, no server, and no backend of any kind. The payments, decisions, proof records, refunds, and settings you create are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We never receive, see, or have access to any of it.

Analytics and tracking

RenewalGuard does not include any analytics, crash‑reporting, or advertising SDK — no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, nothing that reports your usage back to us or anyone else. We have no way to know how you use the app.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally by the app based on the renewal dates you enter. They're generated and delivered entirely on your device through Apple's notification system — RenewalGuard does not run a push notification server, so no reminder ever passes through us.

Exports and backups

The CSV export, JSON backup, and automatic backup features write a file to a location you choose on your device — for example, a folder in the Files app. RenewalGuard doesn't upload that file anywhere. If you choose a cloud‑synced location, such as an iCloud Drive folder, as your backup destination, that file becomes subject to Apple's own iCloud terms once it leaves your device — RenewalGuard itself still never sees or transmits it, because we don't operate a server to send it to.

In‑App Purchases

RenewalGuard Pro is sold as an auto‑renewable subscription or a one‑time lifetime purchase through Apple's App Store. Your payment details are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's own Privacy Policy governs that transaction. We only learn whether a purchase was made, which Apple's StoreKit confirms directly on your device.

Third parties

RenewalGuard does not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party, because it never leaves your device in the first place. There are no third‑party SDKs embedded in the app beyond Apple's own frameworks.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all data removes every payment, decision, proof record, and refund entry permanently. Deleting the app itself has the same effect. Neither action notifies us, because we have nothing to be notified about.

Children's privacy

RenewalGuard is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age — the app simply doesn't collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Since RenewalGuard doesn't collect contact information, we can't email you about changes — check back here if you want to review the current version.
