Enough to try the app properly.
Unlock the full library forever.
Correct. The app uses no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, and no third-party tracking SDK of any kind. You can verify this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report after using the app: zero outbound network contact except the PDF rendering worker (a public, identifier-free file) and any images embedded in HTML files you choose to view.
The Free tier lets you keep up to 3 files in your library at a time and supports every format and feature except bulk folder import. Premium removes the file limit and enables importing entire folder hierarchies in one tap — useful if you have a large existing collection. Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Not currently. MapYourReader stores everything locally on the device by design — the privacy guarantee is that your files don't leave your device. If you install on a second device with the same Apple ID, your Premium entitlement carries over (via Restore Purchase), but the files themselves do not. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap with a privacy-preserving approach (end-to-end encrypted, optional).
You can import files from iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or any other provider that exposes itself through the iOS Files app — that's the standard file picker MapYourReader uses. Once imported, the file is copied to the app's local storage. Subsequent changes to the source file in the cloud don't propagate; this is intentional to keep the reading experience fully offline.
Yes. Open the Notes tab → tap the share icon → choose Export. You'll get a plain-text or Markdown file containing all your highlights and notes with the source document title and date. Export uses the standard iOS share sheet, so you can send it anywhere — email, AirDrop, Files, or another app.
Not yet. The current build is iOS-only (iPhone and iPad, iOS 15+). An Android version is being considered for 2026; if you want to be notified, email [email protected].
